At McDermotts Ranch, our grass fed, grain finished beef is available by the half or whole animal, giving your family exceptional value while ensuring you always have quality beef ready for every meal.

How It Works

1. Reserve Your Beef
An $800 deposit secures your Half or Whole Beef. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. We Finish Raising Your Beef
Your beef remains in our care until it reaches its ideal finishing weight. Throughout this time, our cattle continue to receive the same attention and care that defines McDermotts Ranch.

3. Processing
Once your beef is ready, it is transported to Johnny's Sausage in Grimshaw, a licensed, provincially inspected processing facility. You'll work directly with the butcher to discuss your preferred cutting and packaging options.

4. Final Payment
The remaining balance for your beef must be paid in full before it is released. Processing fees charged by the butcher are paid directly to the processing facility by the customer.

5. Fill Your Freezer
Pick up your professionally cut, freezer-ready beef and enjoy premium Alberta beef for months to come.
